About

Each conservatory we make here at our Mawdesley workshops is totally individual using the best materials available. All our timber is supplied by local companies who are FSC registered and supply timber from sustainable sources.

Our process

We are a family business with genuine ethics aimed
at providing a quality, value for money product and customer service when installing one of our structures on your home. Our business is not driven by sales but by achieving a design and space that you require. This is developed through our knowledge and experience and your own input for how you are going to use the space we create.

Our meeting

Once we have been invited to discuss your proposed project we will arrange to meet at your home where we can listen and discuss your thoughts and requirements, offer our own suggestions and advice on all aspects of the project and advise if any Planning Applications or Building Regulations would be required. At this time, we will also undertake an initial survey of the site to enable us to produce a design drawing.
Following this meeting, we will develop a detailed quotation and design drawing based on our discussions. Arranging a second meeting, at a mutually agreed date, we will present you with and explain in detail, our suggested design. After this meeting, we will leave you with our detailed quotation, specification and design drawing, which is completely without cost or obligation, to study in your own time, to allow you to make your decision.

Proceeding with our proposal

Should you decide to accept our proposal and proceed with your build, we will arrange to undertake a detailed survey which will allow us to produce CAD drawings
accurately and to scale to allow for manufacture and the build process. At this stage we will also take care of any Planning applications that are necessary or apply for a ‘Certificate of Lawfulness’ if the build is allowable under ‘Permitted Development’ rights.

Construction process

Once any necessary permissions have been granted, the project can be programmed into our schedule.
We generally allow 8 – 12 weeks to complete the build. The manufacture process usually takes around
4 weeks so your builder can be undertaking the base works simultaneously so there is no delay between the basework being completed and the timber frames / roof structure being erected.
The timber frames are delivered to site, painted and glazed and once erected the roof work is completed and the building is weathertight, allowing finishing trades, electricians, plasterers, heating engineers and floor finishes to undertake their work.
